    SMASHED! FRIDAY!

My friend (and “star” of COST OF LIVING) Mary Elizabeth Winstead has a seriously fantastic little movie coming out this Friday in NY and LA. Last I checked it was 100% on Rotten Tomatoes so if you don’t trust my opinion at least trust the tomatoes. [Edited to add: It is now 79% on Rotten Tomatoes. That’s what I get for not googling it first.]

If you like awesome performances or great characters or levity or Aaron Paul or Ron Swanson please go. I’m copying and pasting the info about cast and crew introductions at various screenings.

(Please note the film is about 50 times better than the trailer. I feel like a douche for knocking a trailer a lot of people probably worked really hard on but it makes the movie seem generic.)

    Anyway, the info…

Friday (Oct. 12th) at The Landmark director James Ponsoldt, star Mary Elizabeth Winstead,  and co-writer Susan Burke will participate in a Q&A after the 7:50 show and introduce the 10:15 show.

Saturday (Oct. 13th) at the Sundance Sunset Cinema director James Ponsoldt, star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, co-writer Susan Burke, and actors Megan Mullally, Nick Offerman and Octavia Spencer will participate in a Q&A after the 4:35 show and introduce the 8:00 show.

Here’s a little teaser thing. Footage shot and edited by my pal @rileystearns. The short will have it’s online debut/premiere on February 14. It’ll be free. And HD. Yay.

“Without a doubt one of my very favorite moments of Fantastic Fest 2011 was the premiere screening of BenDavid Grabinski’s action-horror-comedy hybrid short film Cost Of Living.”
